What we’re about
People who work in DC or Richmond, but live in Fredericksburg and the surrounding areas can often feel out of place. For the most part, Fredericksburg is not viewed as a tech zone, but there is a lot of tech talent living here.
One thing about creative tech people, too, is that many of us tend more towards isolation and flying solo. While this might feel like a more natural state, sometimes it’s good to give in to the instinct of needing other people and looking for excuses to get out and touch grass.
This meetup group, while loosely organized for now, aims to bring together UX and Product Design and Research professionals who desire to improve their skills, understand and tinker with new tools and tech, and collaborate with other design professionals of all levels of skill and experience.
At our meetup events, we will share what we’re working on, what sort of work we’re looking for, how things are going and what’s impacting this part of an industry going through seismic change. Sometimes, we’ll have special guests and set agendas, but sometimes we’ll just get together and socialize. For now, though, we don’t have any members and things are going to be a bit more unstructured.
