POSTPONED-A Night of Cutting-Edge Design w/Tesla, Capital One Cafe & TrendHunter
Details
Do you like cool and cutting-edge products and services? Then this workshop is for you. Join us for an inspirational tour of cutting-edge companies that are using innovation to design better products, services and experiences. We will visit three innovation hubs in DC to hear from people involved in leading tomorrow's trends.
Each site will host a small group of DT:DC members for a tour, talk and demonstration. We will start the evening at WeWork to hear from the folks at Trend Hunter, the world's largest and most popular trend community. With over 20,000,000 monthly views Trend Hunter leverages big data, human researchers and AI to identify consumer insights and deep dive opportunities for the world's most innovative companies.
Then we will head out into the neighborhood to visit the brand-new Capitol One Café. If you are like us, you may think that a bank seems like an unlikely player to jump into the café business, but Capital One is hoping that meeting people where they are in a less stressful environment will change the way people bank and feel about money. It’s a bold experiment. We will check out the Café on 7th Street and meet with the Cap One team to discuss their strategy and success so far.
Then we will head over to Tesla at City Center. Tesla is reimagining their role as a transportation provider to that of an energy company. The Tesla team will share their vision of Tesla home energy as well as give us a peek inside the Tesla garage to show us all the features on their cars. Then we will hit the road for small group test drives on the streets of DC. It will be a great conversation about technology and the future of energy.
We will wrap up the evening with a debrief at a local spot (TBD). We will provide the conversation and you will provide the drinks and food at a fun space somewhere in Chinatown. Whether you're looking to gain more knowledge regarding new marketplace trends, find a way to enhance your current experiences or excite your clients with new initiatives, this is the workshop for you. Space is extremely limited so don’t delay. We have space for 25 participants.
