* This is an in-person event

Human-centered design invites us to use curiosity, empathy, and creativity to improve people’s lived experiences—but when was the last time you used those qualities in your own life?

As practitioners, we know the power of Design Thinking’s “key behaviors:” Discover, Define, Imagine and Iterate. And yet, our design challenge gets infinitely more challenging when the “user” we’re designing for is ourselves!

In this reflective and experiential workshop, you’ll explore how you can use these key behaviors to guide your own career and life questions, decisions and action. Through new inspiration, solo reflection and guided discussion, you’ll walk away with a clear understanding of how to apply the behaviors of Design Thinking – plus the next steps you want to take – to create a career and life you love.

Agenda
6:30 - Introductions
6:45 - Overview – Mapping the Four Behaviors of Design Thinking onto Your Life
7:15 - Hands-on Practice and Small Group Discussion
8:10 - Share-out, Q&A
8:30 - Event End

About our presenter
Ashley Jablow believes life's too short to do work you hate. As founder of Wayfinders Collective, Ashley helps you step off the hamster wheel, create a career and life you love – and learn to trust yourself along the way.

In 2017 Ashley got laid off and experienced firsthand the urgency that comes from feeling misaligned and directionless at work. Leveraging her experience in Design Thinking and Innovation – honed after years of working at places like IDEO and The White House – Ashley set out to redesign her work life so that it aligned with her whole life. Today, Ashley's built a thriving, fulfilling career for herself – and she's ready to help you do the same.

Through Wayfinders Collective, Ashley offers 1:1 and group coaching, workshop facilitation, and inspirational resources for individuals and teams. Her newly-published 4-volume reflection journal, "100 Days of Designing My Life," pairs 100 hand-illustrated watercolors with daily reflection questions to help you deepen your self-understanding and propel you toward your dreams.
