SOLD OUT: Gen AI for Designers: Vibe-Coding Prototypes

Details
* This is an in-person event
You already know AI is changing design. A series of bold old apps and new ones are dramatically cutting down time, costs, and people, needed to make prototypes and full-scale digital products. It’s moving quickly, and new capabilities are seemingly being added every week. The good news is that you don’t need a coding background to use the latest tools to turbocharge your design practice.
Join us for an expert session led by Amitabh Saxena who will explain the core principles of Generative AI, and where it is impacting different areas of a business model and within the design value-chain. We'll also explore the recent trend of “vibe coding”: what it is, why it matters, review leading tools (Bolt, Lovable, v0, Replit, Cursor), and discuss when to use each one. Using some mock examples, we’ll do a live, interactive vibe-coding demo of a high-fidelity prototype, and then break into small groups so you can try it out on your own.
This mini-workshop, which is part of a longer training course, aims to provide both theoretical underpinnings of Gen AI and vibe-coding as well as hands-on experience using AI to quickly build rapid prototypes. Importantly, it aims to demystify key terms and empower designers – regardless of their coding experience – to use these tools with confidence. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop.
Agenda:
6:30 - Networking
7:00 – Gen AI principles + Impact on Design Value-Chain
7:15 – Vibe-Coding: Cutting Through the Noise
