Talkshop: Safety vs. Danger in collaboration with SEGD
Details
**This is an in-person event**
DT:DC and SEGD (Society for Experiential Graphic Design) are collaborating on a special event called TalkShop. We'll have the opportunity to explore and be inspired by two different ends of an Experience Design spectrum. These are the kinds of conversations and creative principles that drew many of us to the field of Experiential Design in the first place. As the name implies, the TalkShop event will include a brief talk, with Q&A, from two thought leaders in Experiential Design, and a hands-on workshop where we'll get to apply these methodologies during a small group design exercise.
For this workshop, we'll compare Danger and Safety. We will introduce Danger and Safety as two ends of the experiential spectrum, prompting inquiry into what each term means in the context of experience design.
As we dive in, we'll hear first from Clare Brown, the Executive Creative Director at G&A, speaking on Danger. Then we'll hear from Mike Denison, the Head of Design at the National Museum of American History, speaking on Safety. Come ready to co-create with the DT:DC and SEGD Community during a hands-on workshop after hearing from Clare and Mike.
