🔥 What is Protobot?
Its a fun prototyping workshop developed by the Stanford D.School, that helps you practice the building phase of design projects without fear of judgement. Ever had a ridiculous product idea that almost makes sense? This is your chance to bring it to life! In this fast-paced, hands-on design jam, you’ll brainstorm, prototype, and pitch an absurd but creative invention.

Everything today is digital—we sketch ideas on screens, prototype in Figma, and build in code. But what if you could touch your ideas? This workshop is about bringing concepts into the physical world, making them tangible, and embracing the creative energy that comes from actually building something with your hands.

You’ll use physical materials to craft, shape, and refine your wildest ideas—because sometimes, the best way to design is to get out of your head and into your hands.

1:15 - 1:30 PM – Protobot Challenge Intro & Pairing
1:30 - 2:15 PM – Build Your Protobot (Use physical materials to make your concept real!)
2:15 - 2:45 PM – Pitch & Share (Quickfire presentations + fun voting categories!)
2:45 - 3:00 PM – "Show & Touch" + Voting (Walk around, ask about designs, and vote on the best ones!)
