Talk: Dirty User Research: How to do lean user research when you have no resources, no time, and wear 12 hats.

There is an industry wide problem where everyone wants the user voice, but can’t seem to find the time to listen. There’s a lot of great content out there on user research, why it’s important, and how to conduct it. But what they usually don’t mention is that the content is put out by big agencies and companies who have dedicated time and resources. This is a talk about the down and dirty details of how to hack research to fit your schedule, small team, and/or your limited resources.

Speaker: Rachel Rosenson

I’m Berlin-based Senior Product Designer jamming with the Taxfix team. In the past, I’ve worked across the U.S, Europe and Tel Aviv with IDEO, Google, and the Google X project, Flux.io, and a handful of startups. In my free time I mentor start-ups in developing countries about how to develop Human Centered Product Principles. I’m tired of people making user research seem like a fancy, complicated regimen, and focus on getting teams to work smarter not harder.

This is a safe and open space for you to speak to your fellow designers. Perhaps you’re looking for feedback, partnership or advice on a project you’re working on or simply have a question. Well, this is your moment. You can ask the group and further the conversations in the social after.
