Brewing a Beer Brand: A Night of Tasting, Branding, and Ideation!

Join us for our next Design Thinking Cincinnati event on June 29th! We are excited to be working with a brand new brewery just getting off the ground in suburban Cincinnati. March First Manufacturing, along with education software startup, Ascend Software, are the first two ventures in a new venture lab in Symmes Township. We will be co-hosting this event with Cincy Lean Startup Circle, and we are every excited to be working with this group's entrepreneurial-minded members!

While the founders of March First Manufacturing have been hard at work on a business plan, facilities, and final cider/beer recipes (yes, of course samples will be provided!), they are struggling on the important naming and branding aspects of their new company and product offerings.

Our goal is to help founder, Kevin Kluener, and team ideate on the ground floor of this new venture! Kevin would like assistance brainstorming potential naming and brand concepts that resonate with his target market. He’s excited to have the opportunity to work with Design Thinking Cincinnati and Cincy Lean Startup Circle members on this important aspect of the business! Our session will begin with a quick overview of target market and review of a lifestyle/branding board. This will provide the inspiration for teams to break off and brainstorm names, brand themes, and visual concepts. There will be plenty of their beer and cider on hand to fuel inspiration and we will provide food to keep people energized!

We'll be hosting this Meetup at the recently opened venture labs location at 7885 E Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249 (across from Kid’s First). You will get a chance to be one of the first to learn more about a new entrepreneurship option here in our region, try out a new beer and cider option before it hits the market, and have a big impact on the future of March First Manufacturing. The event will kick off at 7:00 pm but we will begin gathering at 6:30 pm for networking, food and drink, and some sampling of beer and cider.
