Join us this Sunday for a scenic and social adventure through one of Yorkshire’s most stunning hiking routes!

This event is running alongside Social Life’s event, with an expected turnout of around 10 people, making it a great chance to enjoy nature, socialise, and explore together.

📍 Planned Route (approx 4 hours hike + walk) :

• Malham Cove
• Up the famous steps to the limestone pavement
• Across to Gordale Scar
• Finish at Janet’s Foss

🥾 Hike Difficulty: Medium
A rewarding hike with beautiful scenery, steps, uneven paths, and moderate walking.

🕘 Start Time: 9:00 AM sharp
Please aim to arrive by 8:45 AM for smooth coordination before departure.

🚗 Car Share Option:

• I’ll be leaving at 7:15 AM sharp
• I currently have 3 spaces available in my car
• Early confirmation is recommended

🍎 Food & Water:
We will take a break during the hike, so please bring:

• Water
• Snacks / packed food / light lunch

Please note:
We are likely to stop at a café only after completing the full hike (approximately 4 hours later), so it’s important to carry enough food and water for the journey.

Let’s kick start the long weekend with some nice drinkies and street food at Thor’s Tipi in City Square 🍹🌯

If you’ve never been before, Thor’s Tipi is one of Leeds’ most fun and cosy pop-up spots... a huge Nordic-style tipi right in the middle of the city, with fairy lights, rustic wooden seating, heaters/fire pits, DJs and a really relaxed festival vibe. It’s the perfect mix of after-work drinks, outdoor social and street-food hangout, without needing to leave the city centre.

Whether you fancy cocktails, beers, frozen margaritas or just a chilled catch-up after work, everyone’s welcome. There’ll be plenty of street food options nearby too, so come hungry.

The plan is simple:

Then wander down to Spoons or another pub later for anyone wanting to continue the night 🍻

Saturday Group Hike: Ilkley Cow & Calf Adventure 🌿

Join us on Saturday 23rd for a scenic medium-level hike around the iconic Cow & Calf Rocks at Ilkley Moor!

📍 Meeting Point: Cow & Calf Rock Cafe
(Hangingstone Rd, Ilkley LS29 8BT — located right by the main Cow & Calf car park, with coffee, snacks, and a popular ice cream parlour 🍦)

A fun and rewarding hike with stunning moorland views, rocky trails, and moderate uphill sections.

👟 Footwear:

• Trainers are perfectly fine
• Hiking shoes are recommended if you have them for extra grip

🚆 Travelling by Public Transport:

• From Ilkley Train Station / Bus Stop, it’s approximately a 30-minute uphill walk to Cow & Calf Rock Cafe
• Taxis are also available from the station for quicker access

🚗 Car Pick-Up / Drop Option:
For anyone needing transport, pick-up and drop-off may be available from:

  Approximately 3 hours starting from Cow & Calf cafe depending on pace and breaks. Add 30-40mins extra if coming by walk from Train station

• Are food and toilets available?
  Yes — the café has refreshments, snacks, ice cream, and facilities.

  Please carry a waterproof layer as weather on the moor can shift quickly.

Join us on 24th May Sunday for a refreshing social walk through the beautiful Roundhay Park, followed by a delicious group lunch at Punjabi Heaven!

A convenient meetup spot beside the playing fields, with easy access to the park through nearby paths and steps.
