NEW DATE/TIME/LOCATION!
We are meeting, Friday, July 25th @ 5PM @ Harvard St. Commons (HSC)! HSC is a collaborative living space for builders, hackers, and creators in the heart of Cambridge. It is <10 minutes walking from the Harvard Square T Stop. Please RSVP so we can ensure there is enough space for everyone. Those who RSVP yes, will receive a separate email shortly with the address.
DON'T MISS OUT! THIS EVENT INCLUDES AN EASY, OPTIONAL HACKER WORKSHOP! BRING A LAPTOP IF YOU CAN!!
Ruben Rodriguez Perez will kick off the event with a discussion on Free and Open Source Software and the importance of libraries and communities in supporting freedom and collective empowerment. He will share an overview of his own journey and the path that led him to creating Trisquel, a fully free operating system.
This discussion is a perfect segue into our workshop where we will walk you through installing Internet-in-a-Box (IIAB) on Trisquel (via the Multipass VM). Internet-in-a-Box brings the power of a free Digital Library of Alexandria to any community worldwide!
Please bring drinks to share, alcoholic beverages are okay!
Many thanks to the Augmentation Lab and HSC for hosting us!
See you THERE!
