Political Discussion

If you are looking to engage in some meaningful political discussion and learn from people from across the political and ideological spectrums, then come to our political discussion meeting.

Everyone is welcome, so feel comfortable expressing your opinion but also try to understand why others feel differently than you.

What do we discuss? Anything that comes to mind. You can suggest a topic at the beginning of the meeting and I'll pick a few to discuss as time permits. I would like for you to participate, but if you just want to sit back and listen, that's fine also.

Some topics I have in mind are:

The ongoing war in Ukraine, how or will it end. It's not really a problem that effects the people in the US, so why is the US involved in the peace talks?

How wide spread is foreign influence on US political opinion?

The promise of the so called "mass deportation" of people illegally in the US. Why isn't it working and why is it only targeting people of certain ethnic backgrounds? Why is the army, national guard, ICE, and border control are targeting only some cities and not others?
