It's Spring! It's time for the World Music Concert at Oakland University, annual concert of OU's World Music Ensembles.
Special guest this year is Haruna Walusimbi, royal musician of the Busoga and Buganda kingdoms, Grammy Award winner, and celebrated artist from Uganda.
o Akwaaba, the OU African Ensemble, will play music in traditions of East Africa.
o Pan-Jumbies, the OU Steel Band, will feature Caribbean music arranged for the steel pan.
Ensemble directors Mark Stone and Patrick Fitzgibbon are the hospitable concert hosts and presenters. They are Professors of the OU World Music and Percussion Arts programs in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.

Event notes:
The Recital Hall is the larger 400 seat venue inside the Varner Hall building. Another smaller 100 seat theater called the Studio Theatre also has a performance at the same time that evening.
