Welcome to Detroit Queer Sketch Series!
Our group is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive space where LGBTQ+ individuals and allies can connect through the art of nude figure drawing. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting out, you’re welcome here!
We host pay-what-you-can life drawing sessions featuring diverse models, free art supplies, instructional workshops, and a welcoming atmosphere for all skill levels. Our events provide a chance to explore creativity, build community, and celebrate queer and allied identities through art.
Come sketch, connect, and express yourself in a supportive space where art and community thrive!

Detroit Queer Sketch Series
Detroit GT Studio, 2301 Wolcott, Ferndale, MI, USJoin us for another session of Detroit Queer Sketch Series (DQSS)—a welcoming, pay-what-you-can life drawing event for the LGBTQ+ community and allies! This is a space where artists of all skill levels can come together to sketch, connect, and celebrate queer creativity in a supportive and inclusive environment.
EVENTBRITE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
📅 Date: Always the first Monday & third Thursday of the month
⏰ Time: 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
📍 Location: Detroit GT Studio, 2301 Wolcott, Ferndale, MI (be sure to use the address in you GPS - the venue name may take you to the wrong location)
💵 Suggested Donation: $25 (Pay what you can)

🖌 Live Figure Drawing – Poses vary in length from 3-30min, and models may choose to pose nude or partially clothed depending on their comfort

🎨 Free Art Supplies Provided – Or bring your own favorites
🍪 Snacks Available – Feel free to bring a drink or treat to share!Come sketch, meet fellow creatives, and experience the joy of queer art-making. No judgment, just good vibes and great company!
