What we’re about
Welcome to the Detroit Rhythm & Style Skating meetup! We primarily focus on adult skaters (18+) who are interested in rhythm/style skating. Not to be confused with traditional artistic figures and dance skating, our goal is more geared towards sharing in the contemporary dance sessions in Detroit as well as skate events. The Detroit style of rhythm skating will primarily be taught. However, we do have adjunct instructors for other styles as well as rollerblading. If you remember "roller boogie" or "roller disco" and would like to return to skate dance, this is your group! We will cover falling, footwork, rhythm, equipment, roller dance history, and more. Please come join us! The more the merrier!
