This group is for (all) people over 50 who desire to get off the couch and offline to meet people and participate in activities and events that one might not want to attend alone.
We'll plan events and meet-ups for both working and retired people who live in Detroit. Most events will be in Detroit. Metro folks welcome. Meet-ups can include: lectures, theater events, live music, community events, day trips, etc.

You must have a picture of you that is not blurry or far away to join the group. The whole point of joining meet-up is to meet other people and when meeting in person it helps to have a face to the name of people you're meeting.
If you are considering joining this group, please be aware that there is a $10/year fee, due after a trial. It covers costs of organizer fee, venue rentals, supplies, or refreshments. There is also proven evidence that if you are paying a fee there is more accountability to actually participate.
