Vin/Yin Yoga pairs the strengthening & stabilizing flow of Vinyasa and grounding postures of Yin Yoga, to balance your breath and body. This gentle movement session is inclusive for all bodies, and beginners are welcome. Restore your energy through mind-body-breath awareness, and cultivate self-compassion. This 45 minute session will be led by the Co-owner of Rhizome Roots,
Charlie E.,
BA, BS, MS, MPH

We will then slowly transition into a gentle movement practice to music, with a slightly guided Ecstatic Dance at the beginning of the music playlist. When the guidance ends, everyone will be encouraged to express themselves as they wish, experimenting with movements that feel natural in their bodies the segment of the playlist. Dance, yoga, stillness, meditation and all other movements, are all welcome during this movement practice.
The Ecstatic Dance practice will be guided by Charity Loring, LMSW, founder and facilitator of Detroit and Ann Arbor ecstatic dance.

πŸƒ No conversational voices during yoga and dance, to fully embody each experience

πŸƒ Suspend judgment of yourself and other others

πŸƒ Consent based – you have the option to dance by yourself, and with others. During the dance, if you would like to dance with someone, make sure you receive a clear indication that they are open to it, by making eye contact and extending your hands to them.
