We chat about lots of different technologies in our Dev Community socials, but this time we're doing a special focus to celebrate the milestone .NET 8 release!

Are you a .NET Developer? Or an avid techie, wanting to see how we can use .NET to solve problems, right here in the North East?

You're invited to .NET Conference 2024, a celebration of the highly-anticipated release of .NET 8. This event is proudly sponsored by the NE Dev Community, and we're excited to bring together developers, enthusiasts, and experts from the region for a day filled with knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration.

Join us at the heart of our vibrant community as we come together to explore the world of .NET 8. We'll be kindly hosted by Durham University, in their Mathematics and Computer Science building - giving us plenty of space to chat, and present and eat.

Expect to

• Exclusive technical content from Microsoft about the exciting developments in .NET 8!
• Dive into lightning talks from local developers, sharing insights on the latest developments in .NET and their experiences.
• Discover what exciting projects are taking place in the region and how various tech stacks are being leveraged.

We're excited to bring together a line up of passionate speakers who will inspire and inform you about the latest in .NET 8 and the world of software development.

Timings
The event will kick off at approximately 18:15, giving you ample time to arrive, grab a welcoming drink, and settle in for the insightful talks. Afterward, we'll enjoy food and refreshments, fostering an environment for some great conversations about .NET in the North East, until 20:00.

Parking
Parking is available south of the Mathematics and Computer Science building, pinned here. Follow the signs for the Botanic Garden off South Road. There's no public access from Stockton Road.
