CUPID - for joyful coding
with Daniel Terhorst-NorthDan believes that there are properties or characteristics of software that make it a joy to work with. The more your code has these qualities, the more joyful it is to work with; but everything is a tradeoff so you should always consider your context.
There are likely many of these properties, but he has chosen five that underpin much of what he cares about in code. In this talk, he will describe them in detail and share some stories from his own experiences.

How code ownership drives our modularization efforts
with Péter Németh (Shapr3D)Shapr3D’s codebase is far too large for any single developer to fully understand, but with the right structure, it doesn't have to be. They have introduced a modular code ownership model focused on clear boundaries, consistent structure, and well-defined responsibilities. For them, ownership means more than just access, it’s about expertise, long-term vision, accountability, and responsibility.
In his talk, Péter will share how they began defining best practices around modularization and how they integrated ownership into their development process.
