Good Enough For Now - Stability during R&D

If you move fast, you break things and you build breakable things. The speed and flexibility which is so important in early development can have long-term costs in maintainability. On the other hand, moving slow and steady may mean you fall behind your competitors. In this talk I'm going to discuss some of the ways we've decided on these tradeoffs at Formlabs, and the effects those decisions have on ongoing product development.

Colossyan’s MLOps journey - From python scripting to state-of-the-art ML model lifecycle

Colossyan started its journey with a Python-based "MVP". The company has matured since then and has invested a lot in building more sophisticated software and established an end-to-end CI/CD pipeline. However general DevOps practices are not necessarily the best tools for managing an AI model's lifecycle. In this talk you can hear about the challenges of how to develop your ML models (as opposed to general software), what the company's journey has looked like so far, and where we are now: still in the middle of a journey.
