Get introduced to the world of AI and build your first AI model in a real-world application from the Internet of Things!

About this Event
Riyadh AI and Beirut AI are hosting the FIRST collaborative event between two City AI branches at Alfaisal University! Sponsored by the Facebook Developer Circles Riyadh, DevCRiyadh members are invited to our Intro to Artificial Intelligence workshop introducing you to AI and giving you the chance to experience it hands-on!

We will start the workshop with a 30-minute talk where we present and discuss fundamentals and advances in artificial intelligence. We will then shift gears and get our hands working on an interesting real-world application of AI in the Internet of Things! This part of the workshop will be an interactive hands-on coding session where you will get the chance to build a data science project from A to Z while developing your first AI model! So grab your laptops and join us to code some awesome AI!

During the workshop, you will be introduced to concepts that will help you learn how to:

Structure a data science project.
Read, prepare, and clean data collected from smart meters/sensors.
Build, train, and evaluate machine learning models that can predict future events from past data.
Join us on Thursday, June 13 at Alfaisal University in Room BG.065 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and don’t forget your LAPTOPS!

Prerequisites? All you need is basic programming skills (in any language but we will be using Python) and a Gmail account!
