Strangulating infrastructure to containers

Managing infrastructure is challenging. Traditional, per service level infrastructure makes it difficult to strike the balance between standardization of the tools, while allowing services to evolve independently. Many concerns like service discovery, health check monitoring, scaling have to be managed by the operations teams.
One of the alternatives is to move to containerised services, that can allow the standardised operation part of the service management while allowing the services to choose the runtime environment dependencies.
What to expect to learn from this session?
In this talk, we will share our journey to move from traditional infrastructure to container based services over Kubernetes. We will talk about the strangulation pattern in infrastructure migration, which allows hybrid infrastructure to coexist and transition completely to a modern way of running the services. We will talk about our approach to move towards cloud-agnostic infrastructure, lift and shift services philosophy to improve our clients agility and we will explore the challenges faced during this migration.
Who should attend this talk:
This talk is for you if you want to migrate your infrastructure to containers/Kubernetes! If you are struggling to start migration! Or if you have already started and want to know whether you got the key points right for the migration!
