We share our experience of building a high-scale vehicle telemetry platform serving the transportation industry, handling data from over 500k vehicles and managing nearly 2TB of data daily. We explore our journey through the challenges and triumphs of platform and data engineering, discussing the efficacy of our tool choices like Kubernetes, Kafka, and Cassandra, and sharing crucial learnings, mistakes, and course corrections encountered along the way.
