### DevDay – For the Love of Building (Buildathon)

We believe learning scales exponentially when we build together.This time at Sahaj Hyderabad we’re hosting a DevDay- an intensive, collaborative event where participants work together in teams to ideate, design, and develop functional prototypes or products within a day. It’s not a hackathon in the traditional sense. No fixed problem statements. No pressure to compete. It’s about taking a day off from deadlines, tickets, and roadmaps, and spending it on building something you’ve always wanted to build, but never found the right moment to. It could be:

• A passion project you’ve been thinking about for years
• A small tool or utility you wish existed
• An idea you want to open-source
• A meaningful open-source contribution
• Or simply taking a messy piece of code and refactoring it into something clean, readable, and maintainable

Pick any problem. Build anything that excites you.

The only expectation is that, you’ll build using Intelligent Engineering practices that leverage AI-assisted coding tools and agents as part of your development workflow. Our team members will guide you through this process. We’ve used and seen it’s benefits and would like to share it with you, push the boundaries of what intelligent Engineering can do, along with you.

It’s to explore how modern engineers can think better, move faster, and build smarter with AI as a collaborator.

You’ll be building alongside a community of passionate technologists who’d be learning from each other, sharing ideas, getting unstuck together, and pushing each other to create something meaningful in a day.

No judging. No winners or losers.

Just a day dedicated to building things we care about with people who care just as much. Come join us for a day where we finally build the things we always wanted to build.

Who Should Attend
This session is exclusively crafted for serious programmers & Builders committed to elevating their craft in the AI era. Ideal attendees are software engineers with:

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on coding experience.
• Fundamentals: Strong grasp of fundamentals in any programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#, C++, Kotlin, JS/TS).

Prerequisites
Please ensure you bring the following to the session:

• Your Laptop
• AI Coding Tool Access: At least a trial license for one of the following tools installed: GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Desktop, or Codeium.
• Preferred IDE: Your integrated development environment of choice (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA, VS Code, GoLand, PyCharm, Rider).
