Talk Joep Heijnen (Topicus): "Flutter web"
Joep will guide you through the intricacies of Flutter Web. Starting with how developers transition from iOS, Android, and traditional web development to Flutter, this journey acknowledges the initial hurdles and the somewhat mixed perception regarding Flutter Web's performance and its constrained web capabilities. Despite these early obstacles, our focus includes the versatility Flutter offers in crafting responsive designs that effortlessly adapt across mobile, tablet, and desktop environments, alongside packages that facilitate both native and web app development.
Moreover, he will dive into:
· The strategies for incorporating platform-specific features within Flutter applications.
· The importance of effective error logging.
Additionally, he'll share insightful experiences and lessons gleaned from working with Flutter Web, offering a comprehensive overview of its potential and how to navigate its complexities.
Talk Maurits van Beusekom: "Going Global with Flutter: Mastering App Localization."
Maurits will offer his expertise on how to implement localization in Flutter applications, focusing on:
· Methods and Challenges: discussing customizing Flutter apps for international users, both the technical details and practical approaches to localization.
· Multi-Language Support: Guiding through the process of adding support for multiple languages, including the use of Flutter's inherent tools and managing various formats such as dates and currencies.

About the speakers
Joep Heijnen (Topicus)
Joep is an experienced Flutter Developer at Topicus. Together with his colleagues, he developed Parro 2.0 (Parro is the parent app to increase engagement in the classroom) in Flutter last year. He enjoys sports, watching soccer and playing Brawhalla with the Parro team every lunch break.
Maurits van Beusekom (Baseflow, Flutter Twente)
Maurits is a senior developer at Baseflow, known for his deep expertise in Flutter and native platform integration. Maurits is the driving force behind the Geolocator plugin, significantly enhancing location services in Flutter apps. His work spans multiple Flutter plugins, showcasing his ability to bridge the gap between Flutter and native code. When not coding, Maurits enjoys BBQ and coaching youth football. His blend of technical skills and community involvement makes him a valuable member of the Flutter developer community. Join us in recognizing his contributions at our next developer meetup.
