Monthly Meetings
Meetings are FREE run monthly and you can attend in person at Lord Stanley Hotel, 994 Stanley Street, East Brisbane
Meeting Format
Networking Meetings are typically held in the evening on a Thursday and last for approximately two hours. We recommend arriving at the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled meeting time for the opportunity to meet and network with other property investors.
The meeting organiser will invite one or two speakers to come along and share their knowledge. These speakers may be industry experts such as architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, builders, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, financiers, lawyers, arborists, etc.
Speakers may also be other property investors who will share details of their recent development or renovation projects. We call this sharing a 'Real Deal'.
The speaker will typically present for around an hour, taking questions from the group.
The rest of the time is committed to networking in a focused manner that allows people in the group to share their experiences in the current market, pose questions, or even seek to connect with potential opportunity investing partners.
We encourage you to attend these meetings as you'll build your network of property investing friends and expand your property knowledge.
I look forward to seeing you at our next meeting

Every developer knows the pain of a project derailed — a hidden easement, boundary dispute, or title issue that blows out timelines and slashes profits. That’s exactly what Rob Winter, Director of Sonto, will show you how to prevent. Rob will reveal the surveyor’s secrets to spotting risks early, protecting your margins, and keeping your projects on track.
Paul Bensley, civil-engineer-turned-developer, will then unpack the rooming house strategy on 'how do you supercharge your cashflow?', that’s giving investors steady income, reduced risk, and long-term wealth.
At our next Brisbane Developer-Renovator Network Meetup is your chance to learn how to avoid costly mistakes and unlock high-return strategies from two experts who live and breathe development.
Stopping Costly Development Mistakes - Rob Winter
Rob is the Director of Sonto, one of SEQ’s leading surveying firms. Every week, he sees projects derailed by hidden risks developers could have caught earlier. Rob will show you:- The hidden traps that can stall your project (and how to spot them fast)
- The surveyor’s checklist you should run before you buy, plan, or break ground
- Why surveyors are your best ally with planners, engineers, and councils
- Real case studies where one survey saved entire projects
You’ll walk away knowing how to keep your next deal safe, profitable, and on schedule.
Unlocking Steady Cashflow with Rooming Houses - Paul Bensley
After 20+ years as a civil engineer, Paul shifted into property development—and discovered rooming houses. Now he builds high-cashflow projects that deliver freedom and long-term wealth. Paul will unpack:- Why rooming houses are lower risk than you think
- How he structures projects to build, hold, and generate ongoing income
- A case study showing the true potential of this strategy
If you’ve ever wondered how rooming houses fit into your portfolio, this is the inside track from a developer who’s doing it.
