Ultimate Web is a class for any Go developer who wishes to learn how to build robust and well tested HTTP based applications in Go. This class provides an intensive, comprehensive and idiomatic view of building Web, SOA, and API applications using Go. We believe this class is perfect for anyone wishing to build scalable, fast, and highly concurrent HTTP based applications.
We will cover
• Go HTTP Basics
• Testing
• Templating and Asset Management
• File Uploads
• Muxing/Routing
• Serialization (JSON)
• Security (SSL and authentication)
Minimum Qualified Student
• A fully working Go environment and can build a “basic” Go application.
• A basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Knows how to maneuver around the file system.
Laptops will be provided but if you can bring your own that would be best. If you need help setting up a Go environment on your machine please ping @jcbwlkr on Slack.
We will take a short lunch break around noon. Food will not be provided so either pack a sack lunch or plan to go out on the break.
