Android Christmas Party

Android Christmas Party

Details

It’s that time of year again, so to celebrate the festive season, Intel has organised a laid-back meet-up for the capital’s coders! Mark out the 3rd December in your diaries for an evening of food, drinks, and the opportunity to network and talk ‘droid with your fellow developers and Android lovers.

There will be lots of activity and the chance to chat with Intel experts on the night, but we’ll fill you in on all of that later.

The event is free, and there will be plenty of beer, wine and soft drinks on tap. We’ve sorted out a great spread as well, so there’s no chance of you going hungry either.

Once you arrive at Liverpool Street station, make your way down Bishopsgate and turn off at Middlesex Street. See you there!

UPDATE:

As well as free food, beer and Android Christmas presents, you’ll have the chance to hear Intel application engineer Will Hansford-White give a quick talk on the free tools Intel provides for developing Android apps (http://software.intel.com/en-us/android). Dev expert Mihai Risca will then give an XDK demo (http://software.intel.com/en-us/html5/videos/intel-html5-xdk-demo), giving us hints and tips for easily developing in HTML5 (http://software.intel.com/en-us/html5/home).

There's also going to be an app test pod. You can see how your apps function on the x86 platform, and test them out on a range of devices provided by Intel. Experts will be on-hand to show you how to port current apps onto x86 as well.
