Workshop 3D Game Development with Unity by Alexander Chatzizacharias & Miltiadis Nedelkos
In the introduction, at 18:00, we will compare common Enterprise paradigms like OOP to the standards that define modern game development. You'll be given practical examples of common techniques that are applied in game development, to get you started on an idea to work on in the workshop. We'll be rewarding the best/funniest/silliest/most awesome concepts with a couple of prizes, so bring your A-game!
Alexander Chatzizacharias is a 26-year old java developer at CGI. He is of Dutch/Greek nationality. Alexander has a bachelor in Game Development (University of applied sciences of Amsterdam) and a master in Game studies (University of Amsterdam). During his master Alexander developed a passion for gamification and new technologies. Combining the two in order to create new innovative solutions is one of his greatest hobbies. Within CGI he is busy with promoting gamification and virtual reality. He is always on the lookout for hot new technologies (such as the Microsoft Hololens). His biggest hobby (and this might come as a surprise) is gaming. From shooters to role playing games, he plays everything.
Miltiadis Nedelkos is a software engineer at CGI. He is 23 years old and comes from Greece. He has a bachelor in Informatics (Aristotle University), training in Social Entrepreneurship (Indiana University, US) and a master in Game Studies (University of Amsterdam). Being an avid gamer himself, he was always interested in designing and making games. Starting from making board games before even learning how to code, he now grew into a Unity professional. Within CGI he is developing serious games that aim to train and teach the players.
We have capacity for about 35 Driven Devs, so don't hesitate! Sign up before we're full!
