Stroll & forage - Bovey Tracey 🍄

Details
Meeting point : National Trust Car Park - Parke near TQ13 9JQ - £5 to park or free for National Trust Members.
Hike Difficulty - Easy 5 / 10
This is a leisurely 5 - 6 mile stroll through National Trust - Parke. We will be looking for edibles to harvest and take home under the supervision of Mushroom Mike who has kindly offered to co-host this event with me.
Here is a list of kit you will need :
• Boots & suitable clothing
• Water (2-3litres)
• Lunch (there is a cafe at the site for this too)
• A container for storing your take home mushrooms (people will often use a small basket or paper bag which will allow the mushrooms to breathe).
I have capped the numbers for this event to maximise the experience for those attending. If you think you might like to come please be mindful that spaces are limited and by changing your mind last minute it means someone who might like to come can't.
The majority of the day will be spent in the forest where the mushrooms grow which will offer us some protection from light to moderate rain if there is any that day. Dog's are welcome.
Disclaimer : There are no guarantees that you will take home mushrooms, so please don't be disappointed if you come home empty handed. We do not take responsibility for any health issues that may arise from you eating the mushrooms you take home. You do so understanding the risks. This is an educational event for those wanting to learn about mushrooms and general mycology.
Thanks,
Rich
