A Weekend in Cardiff 🏴

Join us for our second weekend away in Cardiff!
Following the success of our autumn weekend in Wales last year, we have decided to return in 2025.
This year on the Saturday we are planning a new walk into the heart of the city, taking in ‘Fabulous welshcakes’, Bute Park, the historic Llandaff Cathedral, Jaspers tea rooms, and Insole Court house and gardens (free entry but a donation of £5 is recommended). We’ll meet at 12pm outside the main entrance to Cardiff Central train station. The walk is about 6 miles and very flat.
We’ll then meet at 7.30pm for dinner on the Saturday evening at Giovanni’s on the Hayes Italian restaurant in the city centre, which comes highly recommended. More details are here: https://www.giovanniscardiff.co.uk After dinner we’ll go for drinks at the nearby Golden Cross gay pub.
On the Sunday we’ll meet at 10.30am, again outside the station, to go for a walk around Cardiff Bay and the pretty seaside town of Penarth. There will be stops for refreshments, including of course welsh cakes!
Choosing and booking accommodation will be up to the individual/couple to pay for. It will of course be possible to join us for just one of the days. We have chosen a weekend when hotel prices are lower. However if you plan to stay over we strongly recommend booking accommodation early. The Stadium Premier Inn had good rates at the time of writing this.
