A walk around Cockington Country Park (Torquay)
Details
Join us for a circular walk through Cockington Country Park, a stunning blend of picturesque, well-maintained garden landscapes, open parkland, rural countryside, and woodland. This 450-acre country park in Torbay features three charming ornamental lakes, a historic Manor House with a craft centre and studios, a quaint village with delightful thatched cottages, and an enchanting 11th-century church.
The walk is an easy 3.5-mile route, starting outside Torquay train station, with some steps and a few small hills. There will be an extended lunch break at the Manor House Café, or you may bring your own packed lunch, allowing ample time to explore the craft centre and studios. Following this, the walk continues through the rural countryside, woodland, and Water Meadows before returning to the coast. The day concludes with drinks at a pub on Torquay Seafront before heading home.
