Join us for a 7.5 mile circular walk on Dartmoor, taking in some stunning scenery on the northern edge of the National Park. This walk starts at Okehampton train station and we head east initially for a lovely riverside walk, having a lunch stop in the village of Belstone (please bring a packed lunch). We'll have time to look around the village and church. We then head to the higher part of the moor, taking in some wonderful views looking north towards North Cornwall and Exmoor. We then turn west, through the army camp and downhill back to the start point, all along having lovely views of West Devon.

This walk has an overall ascent of 300
metres is mostly on paths or open moorland and so good walking trainers or summer walking boots are needed, depending on the weather. Please check the forecast before setting out. Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and plenty of water.

We will aim to get back to the station in time for tea at the Bulleid Buffet Cafe.

The walk is easily accessed by hourly trains from Exeter. Well behaved dogs welcome.
