Join us for a 7 mile walk from the delightful market town of Tavistock. Situated in West Devon and at the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Tavistock has a rich history as a market town, and has plenty of independent shops and cafes. The scenery on this moderately hilly walk ranges from open moorland on Dartmoor to deep, wooded river valleys. One of the highlights is the idyllic Double Waters, where two fast-flowing streams converge. We will return to Tavistock for optional tea and cake.

Please bring a packed lunch for the walk and plenty of water. We will meet outside Tavistock Town Hall.

Buses operate frequently from Plymouth to Tavistock (Number 1) and there is also a bus from Okehampton (Number 118) if you are coming by public transport. There is ample parking in Bedford Cark Park, near the walk start.
