Join Latvia DevOps & AI Communities’ 33rd event on 3rd of November at Workland Telegraph. Doors open at 18:30, talks start at 19:00.

✨Māris Ancāns
Māris is an engineer on the R&D team at Giraffe360, where 360° cameras and a processing pipeline transform real-estate captures into panoramas, floor plans, and 3D models. He works on the foundations of that pipeline: the services, infrastructure, and the ongoing work of making everything faster and more cost-efficient.
He builds systems where agents optimize and rewrite production services autonomously, along with the tooling needed to keep those agents in check.
Talk name: Agents Gone Wild: Letting an AI Swarm Rewrite Production
What happens when AI agents do more than write code—when they run their own experiments, measure the results, and ship changes to production?
Māris will introduce ACO (Agentic Continuous Optimization), a swarm of agents porting production services from Python to Rust. He will also share how agents can independently build, research, and train AI models—and what it takes to use this approach safely in production.
✨Ernests Knāviņš
Ernests is an SRE/DevOps engineer with more than 10 years of experience working with production systems, including at GoCardless. He is currently building AlertINT and exploring how AI agents can help with incident investigation. His work and talks draw on hands-on engineering, on-call experience, and the assumptions he has had to rethink along the way.
Talk name: From SaaS Dashboard to Self-Hosted Agent: Building AI for On-Call
Ernests started by building a SaaS product to make sense of infrastructure alerts: a React dashboard, Supabase, and AI-generated incident analysis. He then changed direction and rebuilt the core as a self-hosted Go agent that investigates alerts in the background and makes incident context available through MCP.
This talk is the story of that rebuild: why he moved away from the dashboard, what changed when investigation became an always-on process, and why even a confident AI diagnosis still needs verification. Ernests will walk through the architecture before and after, the trade-offs around local state and read-only access, and the verification loop he added to challenge the model’s conclusions.
Join us for practical lessons from building an incident-triage system—and the decisions that had to be reconsidered along the way.
