Synopsis: I’ll talk about why engineers want cost estimates before they launch infrastructure, why it’s challenging, and what we’ve done about it so far with the open source https://github.com/infracost/infracost product, and its paid Infracost Cloud companion.

Bio: Ali Khajeh-Hosseini is co-founder of Infracost. His PhD research focused on cloud costs and he’s had an unhealthy obsession with cloud costs in the last 10 years :) He’s was based in Edinburgh and recently relocated to San Diego as he just wanted more sun.
