🚀 DevOps Braga is back for the final meetup of the year, and we’re bringing friends.

This KCD Warmup edition brings together DevOps Braga, GDG Braga and OutSystems User Group Braga, hosted at the OutSystems Braga offices. Three talks, three angles: how Kubernetes needs to evolve for AI, how to design for everyone, and what an AI-ready data platform actually looks like.

It’s also our warm-up for KCD Porto × DevOpsDays Portugal, on 19–20 November at Super Bock Arena.

📍 Venue: OutSystems Braga
📅 Date: November 5, 2026
⏰ Doors open: 18:30

🗓 Agenda
18:30 · Check-in & Networking

19:00 · Welcome & Intros

19:10 · Evolving Kubernetes for the AI Era
🎤 Antonio Ojea, Senior Staff Software Engineer @ Google

Kubernetes was designed for web applications, but Artificial Intelligence changes what container platforms must do. This talk covers how we must change Kubernetes for AI, looking at two different areas:

  1. High-Performance Infrastructure (Training and Inference): AI training needs fast hardware and low-latency networking. We will discuss how declarative network drivers and RDMA (using tools like dranet) make high-performance networking simpler on Kubernetes.
  2. Secure AI Agents (Agentic Workloads): AI agents need secure, private networking and safe sandbox environments. We will discuss how to build a decentralized network (using Agent Mesh, libp2p, and biscuit tokens) to secure agent-to-agent communication across clusters.

19:45 · Build for Everyone: UX, UI & Accessibility
🎤 Nuno Mendes, UX Designer @ Glintt Global

Keeping track of all the best practices while building an application, a web page or any kind of service can be daunting. In this talk, Nuno Mendes, a UX/UI specialist, will show you how and when User Experience and Interface come into play in every project, as one of the important parts of every challenge.

Here’s the fun part: this won’t be just about what you can do with OutSystems, but about how you design everything and what’s important to keep in mind. A less technical approach.

Do you usually find UX/UI and accessibility to be a major part of your projects? Is it something everyone can be involved with? And now that accessibility laws are in place, is it more of a hurdle that adds headaches to the workflow?

Bring your doubts to the table and expect an open conversation where everyone is invited to take part.

20:20 · Data AI Platform
🎤 Murilo Rosendo, Senior Data Engineer @ synvert xgeeks

Every team built its own data platform. Now every team will build its own AI platform, and it turns out to be mostly a data problem. AI agents are brilliant interns: they never sleep, forget everything every morning, and are very confident anyway. This talk shows how to give them the platform they’re missing, looking at two different areas:

  1. Platforms aren’t ready for agents: We’re used to B2B and B2C, but now agents act for consumers and talk to other agents. When one engineer runs 30 agents in parallel, databases, costs and observability built for human speed start to break. We will discuss connection storms, agent identity, Rust-based tooling for fast agent loops, and why visibility comes before cost enforcement.
  2. Building the AI-ready data platform: The layers are the familiar ones from data platforms (ingestion, catalog, governance, operations and serving), but the consumer is now an agent. Using a real setup that took two internal tools from idea to production with a single engineer, we will look at persistent agent memory with expiry dates (Engram), a senior tech lead’s review standards turned into executable rules, minimal-change guardrails (Ponytail), agent cost observability (Vorssaint), and why humans must manage it all.

20:55 · Food, drinks & networking 🍕🍻
