DevOps Phnom Penh Meetup January

The January meetup will be focused on the Docker Container theme.

Docker is an open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.

Topics and Agenda:

Topic 1: What is DevOps and DevOps Cambodia by Leap Sok (9:00 AM - 9:15 AM)

In this session, Leap will talk and discuss on the overall definition of DevOps and DevOps Cambodia.

Topic 2: Deploying & Managing Apps with Docker Cloud by Visay Keo (9:20 AM - 10:20 AM ) In this session, Visay will have a look at interface of Docker Cloud and bringing up an internal VM as a node and also bring up a node on AWS. We will walk through and understand the process of creating each service for the app and in the end setup a simple web application using Docker Cloud's stack file, which is very similar to Docker Compose file."

Topic 3: Docker in Production at Sabay Digital Corporation by Mike Gartner (10:25 AM -11:25 AM)

In this session, Mike will present how he deploy the Docker from development to daily operations to manage the Sabay News website. How can Docker be a very effective documentation tool and help dramatically reduce time required for updates.
