## About Super Tech Friday

We are a community, driving to exchange knowledge and continuously improve ourselves as state-of-the-art techies, DevOps, SRE, DevSecOps and Cloud professionals in this emerging IT industry. The majority of our members are from the Netherlands and speak Dutch.
Our goal is concentrated on learning, relearning, upskilling, and information sharing on topics involving mostly DevOps and Cloud.

Bicep: What’s New?

About the session
In this session we will dive deeper into Azure Bicep, going beyond the 101. We will focus on some of its features that been released more recently and are valuable when working in larger teams. We will cover Bicep parameter files, user defined types, the Bicep registry, updated interaction with VS Code, linter and validation rules, easier referencing secrets in Key Vault, and possibly more!
The afternoon will start with a session of about 60 minutes where we will go over these features together. After a refreshing break, you will then have the opportunity to try all of this out on your own. To participate, make sure to bring the following:

• Access to an Azure subscription to practice with Bicep yourself
• A laptop with Visual Studio Code and the Azure CLI installed

About the speaker
Henry Been is an independent architect and developer from The Netherlands. He enjoys working with software development teams to create and deliver software for the Azure cloud. His interests include Azure, Agile, DevOps, software architecture and the design and implementation of testable and maintainable software. Besides his work he is a speaker at international conferences, is the author of two books, and creates online training courses for Pluralsight and A Cloud Guru. For his work in the community, he has been awarded the Microsoft MVP Award since 2019.
