DevOps Exchange Manchester - Peak.AI, AWS, D55

Join us on Wednesday 19th April as the DevOps Exchange Manchester returns for its next event, hosted by Peak.AI.

For this event we will hear from our hosts, Peak.AI on the best ways to secure your DevOps pipeline in the Cloud, and AWS will be returning to the stage to share with us everything you need to know about securing Containers in the Cloud. Our 3rd and final talk will be from AWS partners, D55 who will share how they use gamified learning to improve working practices.

The session will introduce practical tips for securing containerized environments covering topics such as dependency management, supply chain risk and a few of the additional layers of security we can implement to mitigate risk when running containers in production.

"Playing Games At Work - How we use gamified learning to improve working practices"

When D55, a small consultancy based in Manchester, won the AWS GameDay World Championship, they were just as shocked as everyone else. Entering the competition had been purely part of their continuous learning culture, a chance to expose themselves to new Services, best practices and 'Real World' challenges.

In this talk, Rich, a member of the winning team will talk you through the advantages of Gamified Learning to improve working practices within your dev teams, along with many other potential benefits, and how to leverage Gamification throughout your company's learning goals.

Bio: Rich House spent 15 years in the Live Music Industry before pivoting to Software Development in 2020. Since then he has become an AWS Community Builder, an GameDay World Champion and advocate for Good Mental Health. He lives in Macclesfield with his family and his best mate, a Border Terrier called Dexter.
