How to Avoid Cascading Failures in Microservices and Evolving to Serverless

Serverless computing (or serverless for short), is an execution model where the cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is responsible for executing a piece of code by dynamically allocating the resources. And only charging for the number of resources used to run the code.

From monolithic to microservice, and now; serverless. Moving to serverless allows developers to focus on applications while the infrastructure team focuses more on optimizing cost and reducing operation with less concern about the underlying infrastructure. Nowadays, almost every big cloud provider have their Serverless (Function as a Service), AWS has Lambda, GCP has Google Cloud Function. Having this allows us to mine the benefit of modern architecture with “reducing time to implement” and “operational task” by using those services.
