DevOps Kathmandu Meetup - Serverless : 9th Ed.

The first event of 2020 is almost upon us! 9th Edition of DevOps Kathmandu has come up with a theme "Serverless" where we will have a discussion on building resilient serverless architecture.

Milan Thapa: AWS lambda in action
This will include the basics of lambda to Milan's experience on using it for general purpose automation tasks. Diving into deployment flow and lambda layers will be plus.
Milan is a DevOps Engineer at Enliv Information Technologies and love to build virtual infrastructures, see them mature as text files, pet them as cattle and containers, watch them scale up and down so as to minimize the sad face of people, who build business around them.

Milap Neupane: Serverless architecture with AWS
Serverless in not just about having a serverless compute function, to be a complete serverless application we need a serverless database, serverless storage, serverless warehouse, serverless event sourcing. This talk will cover how we can achieve a completely serverless architecture with AWS.

Raju Dawadi: Serverless container with cloud run
The terms serverless is not only limited to functions but also containers. Driving away from functions-driven programming approach, based on open-source Knative project, Cloud Run could be nice way to run your containers in pay as you use model with autoscaling handled on its own. The talk will go around this architecture.
