May 2021 DevOps Meetup | Sealed Secrets | K9S

Welcome to our monthly meetup for May 2021. We have got two sessions for this event:

1. Sealed-Secrets

   One of the problems while deploying services in the Kubernetes cluster is the management of secrets & tokens.

SealedSecret is a way that can be used to encrypt Secret which is safe to store - even to a public repository. The SealedSecret can be decrypted only by the controller running in the target cluster and nobody else (not even the original author) is able to obtain the original Secret from the SealedSecret.

2. k9s: Kubernetes CLI To Manage Your Clusters In Style!
   We would cover everyday usecases* that k9s can simplify.
   usecase:

• switching between clusters, namespace,
• checking on events, logs
• describing configs,
• exec into containers
• restart/scale pods
