Session 1: Creating Software to Monitor Hardware: A view from the Trenches
Have you tried to monitor hardware information like temperature, fan speed or power consumption? This talk is a story of integrating hardware monitoring into existing DevOps processes. The talk will demonstrate how we used a combination of open source tools and in house tools at Canonical to collect hardware information from servers and storage devices, and created alerts and dashboards to monitor them.
