KCD Warmup & Web Summit Side Event | DevOps Lisbon x #29 CNL x GDG Lisbon
Details
DevOps Lisbon, Cloud Native Lisbon and GDG Lisbon, all in one room.
For this edition, we’re joining forces with two of Lisbon’s tech communities for a special KCD Warmup night, hosted by Richemont at their Lisbon offices. With Web Summit in town that same week, it’s also our side event for everyone who’d rather talk platforms than pitch decks. We have three talks on what changes for engineering teams once AI is part of the workflow: measuring delivery, giving agents a memory that holds up, and reviewing code nobody typed by hand.
And yes, it’s a warm-up for KCD Porto × DevOpsDays Portugal, on 19–20 November at Super Bock Arena - WE WILL RAFFLE A TICKET!
📍 Venue: Richemont, Lisbon
📅 Date: November 11, 2026
⏰ Doors open: 18:30

🗓 Agenda
18:30 · Check-in & Networking
19:00 · Welcome & Intros
19:10 · Transforming Our Ways of Working with DevOps
🎤 Alexandre Rose, DevOps Platform Manager @ Richemont
Richemont is the group behind some of the world’s best-known luxury Maisons, and a DevOps platform serves that whole business. Alexandre starts with what Richemont is and how the platform supports it day to day. Then he covers what was missing: metrics, DORA and real application context.
He closes with how the team is building its Accelerate platform with AI inside the framework they already run, without starting over.
19:40 · From Context Pushing to Context Pulling: Scaling Agent Memory, Resolving Conflicts, and Eliminating Token Bloat
🎤 Jeff Andrade, Staff Engineer @ The Retail Performance Company
Most agent setups push context into the prompt and pay for it in tokens, drift and conflicting state. Jeff looks at the opposite approach, where agents pull the context they need, when they need it.
He introduces EpochDB, a high-performance, state-aware memory engine for AI agents with atomic state management and lossless long-term recall. He also shows how it helps agent memory scale, resolve conflicts and stay lean on tokens.
20:10 · Platform Engineering When AI Writes the Code
🎤 Guilherme Silva, Engineering Manager @ synvert xgeeks | KCD Porto Invited Speaker
AI made writing code cheap, but shipping it safely didn’t get any cheaper. Teams using coding agents open far more pull requests, reviews slow down, and more bugs reach production.
Guilherme argues that the fix belongs in the platform, and that asking humans to review harder won’t solve it. His platform has error messages agents can act on, disposable sandboxes, least-privilege access, review routed by risk, and a trace of every agent action. This is a preview of his KCD Porto talk.
20:40 · Catering, drinks & networking 🍽️🍻
