Details
Two exciting topics, three very experienced speakers and much networking opportunity. We are very much looking forward to the next DevOps Meetup Zurich. Here's what's planned for the evening:
17:30 - 18:00 - Arrival and first drinks
18:00 - 18:45 - Simplifying Kubernetes autoscaling with Karpenter
18:45 - 19:30 - How to leverage AIOps in the cloud
19:30 - 20:30 - Networking, Open Space & More drinks
Simplifying Kubernetes autoscaling with Karpenter - Abstract
The session would dive into different strategies for managing Kubernetes capacity on AWS. We will learn about the different mechanisms to provide compute to Kubernetes on AWS, and how Karpenter can be used to automatically provision the right compute resources to handle your cluster’s applications at the right time, helping you to take full advantage of the cloud with fast and simple Kubernetes cluster provisioning.
Scott Gerring & Simone Pomata - Bios
Scott Gerring is a Solutions Architect at AWS, working with digital native customers in Zürich, Switzerland. He has extensive experience building on the cloud, and is passionate about empowering developers through modern tools and architectures.
Simone Pomata is Senior Solutions Architect at AWS. He has worked enthusiastically in the tech industry for more than 10 years. At AWS, he helps customers succeed in building new technologies every day.
How to leverage AIOps in the cloud
DevOps teams have broad responsibilities but limited capacity. AIOps can enhance and partially replace a range of processes and tasks, including monitoring, event correlation and configuration auditing.
In this talk we will have a look at different technologies including Amazon DevOps Guru, which uses ML to detect abnormal operating patterns so you can identify operational issues before they impact your customers.
Ramon Lopez Narvaez - Bio
Ramon Lopez Narvaez is a Senior Solutions Architect at AWS, where he guides, educates, and empowers customers of all sizes and industries to build successful businesses in the AWS cloud. He also built web services for 150+ million Amazon Prime customers and led a team of software engineers in a fast-paced global environment. After being immersed in one of the largest micro-service environments, he is a believer in the DevOps mantra of “You build it, you run it”.
We are looking forward to an inspiring evening
