The Dark side ... of corporate DevOps
We all love DevOps, all its clouds, cool tech and challenging puzzles...but hardly anyone mentions the other side of DevOps: the struggles of being a DevOps engineer in the corporate world.
I’ll delve into the dark side of DevOps and talk about all the techies, who spend their time debugging issues behind corporate proxies, fighting with the force of Enterprise architects & conservative mindset.
I will mention what are the challenges that one would encounter when trying to introduce a DevOps culture in an organisation and share my experiences on what are possible strategies to overcome them.

Slavina Sobadjieva
Slavina is a Software Engineer and DevOps Enthusiast. She loves helping teams unlock their potential by implementing modern software development practices such as CI/CD, cloud and providing them the right tools for the job. Slavina is passionate about using both cutting edge technologies and the often understated soft skills for solving complex challenges.

What is devops? And why does language matter?
I have always been passionate about language and languages. But when I had to choose a professional career around the turn of the millennium, IT was all the hype. In this talk I will tell the personal story of my journey into programming and software engineering, then later into agile methods and devops. I will explain why I still struggle to understand what devops actually is and I will try to show why language still matters.

Peter Häfliger
Peter has been working in the software industry since 2001. Since 2008, he's been with Avaloq, a leading financial technology and service provider, in various roles such as software developer, project manager, team lead, technical business analyst and scrum master. He currently serves as product owner of Business Process Automation and Client Lifecycle Management. He has great interest in agile practices and software development culture but also in more technical programming and software engineering topics. That’s why he likes the holistic approach of devops.
