From Kubernetes to Photons & A Maze of Twisty Little Passages
Details
From orchestrating multi-agent AI on Kubernetes to navigating real-world IT governance: two talks, experienced speakers, and plenty of networking opportunity. We are very much looking forward to the next DevOps Meetup Zurich.
Here's what's planned for the evening:
17:30 - 18:00 - Arrival and first drinks
18:00 - 18:45 - From Kubernetes to Photons: Orchestrating Multi-Agent AI for Entertainment by Clément Raussin & Benjamin Calvet

19:30 - 20:30 - Networking, Open Space & More drinks*
From Kubernetes to Photons: Orchestrating Multi-Agent AI for Entertainment
Multi-agent architectures usher in a new era: instead of a single monolithic AI model, we deploy a set of specialized agents that collaborate, each mastering a specific task, to form a globally more robust and scalable system.
But how can we leverage Kubernetes orchestration to create the future of distributed AI? Inter-agent communication (sync, event, async), new orchestration patterns, and service exposure (RAG, MCP) are the new challenges. This session explores the similarities and differences between cloud-native orchestration patterns and those required for deploying AI agents.
As crazy developers who love great music and entertainment, we created a case study to demonstrate how distributed AI on Kubernetes can create immersive ambiances by controlling sound and lighting effects. This hands-on demonstration will show how to reconcile Kubernetes and distributed AI back into the physical world, bridging cloud-native orchestration with immersive hardware-driven experiences.
Clément Raussin
Head of Cloud & DevOps @ Qim info / Founder of Photon
Clément has been passionate about development since he was very young, with over eight years of deep involvement in the cloud-native ecosystem. After applying his expertise at the highest levels of the French government, he joined Qim info as Head of Cloud & DevOps in Switzerland, where he supports cultural and technological transformations to overcome the challenges of Cloud and DevOps. He is also the founder of Photon, a globally recognized iPad application for managing lighting in cinema, concerts, and theater, combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of artistic needs.
Benjamin Calvet
Computing Engineer for CMS Experiment @ CERN
Benjamin is originally from the south of France and is deeply passionate about the CNCF ecosystem, with a special focus on Kubernetes. He became a Kubestronaut last year, reflecting his dedication and expertise in this field. He is particularly interested in technological innovations and optimizing the tools we use, especially in a context where resource rationalization and consumption reduction are key challenges.
You Are In A Maze of Twisty Little Passages, All Alike
Your engineers want to be agile and self organising. Your governance wants to do standardisation and have auditable controls. There are consultants everywhere. Nobody has a shared language. What do you do?
This is a story about how and why we threw away most of a carefully designed, externally delivered IT Strategy at Switch and instead focussed on grassroots engagement without a central project to roll out new ITSM tooling and processes to glue Switch together and work towards ISO 27001 certification.
We look at: in what ways do agile methods and DevOps/SRE practices interact with ITIL and other standards? How can you use these standards tactically to improve developer experience? And where are the dragons?
Ann Harding
Reliability Engineering & Agile Coach @ Switch
Ann was a student of English and History whose e-mail didn't work. Learning what was behind a broken email system was one of the steps on a journey that took her to study IT and move into infrastructure operations. She is Reliability Engineering Coach and Agile Coach of development and service delivery teams at Switch and will talk to anyone at any time about incident management processes.
