Making Connections Visible - Dominica DeGrandis

The hardest thing we do is communicate across teams. In order to solve this problem, it helps to find and fix the broken handoffs that occur between specialists on different teams. This talk addresses the challenges teams experience from fragmented value streams and offers up an experiment for teams to visualize manage disconnected workflow.

Dominica DeGrandis is the author of Making Work Visible: Exposing Time Theft to Optimize Work & Flow. She is the Director of Digital Transformation at Tasktop, where she introduces flow-based aspects & Value Stream thinking to organizations. Dominica is a huge fan of Flow and using visual cues to inspire change.

Are you frustrated by frequent interruptions and repetitive requests? For too long this has been accepted as the status quo in Operations. There is a better way. Damon and Alex from Rundeck will be presenting Self-Service Operations, a design pattern being used by forward-looking enterprises to safely distribute the ability to define and execute Operations tasks while maintaining centralized security and governance.
