Invisible Platforms: Landing Zones That Scale Without Getting in the Way

Landing zones should be like oxygen for your cloud teams, always there, quietly enabling life and motion. When they work, you don’t notice them. When they don’t, nobody can breathe. But too often, landing zones create friction instead of flow: one-off setups, manual ticket queues, and inconsistent environments that slow delivery and push developers toward workarounds. This talk explores how to build modular, secure-by-default landing zones that scale with product teams, not against them. We’ll show how Platform Engineering principles unlock developer autonomy through consistent interfaces, embedded guardrails, and automation that keeps compliance in check without blocking innovation. The goal: platforms that empower teams to move fast, stay secure, and build without ever waiting on a platform ticket again.
