Gergely Borsothy-Gaál: The depth of AWS pitfalls

AWS services like AutoScalingGroup, CloudFormation and CodeDeploy are popular choices to solve different problems. One would think synergetic services are aware of each other's internal mechanisms, but that's often not the case. I'm going to show you three different pitfalls we recently encountered, none being trivial, but they can cause you serious production outages if you are not careful enough.

Judit Ördög-Andrási: Testing Chef: silver bullet or shooting yourself in the foot?

Does infrastructure as code really count as production code? If it does, shouldn't we be testing it? How far shall we go, let's just have a sanity check or build the whole testing pyramid? Is it worth the hassle? I'm going to present a way how linting and unit testing can be done with Chef, then show you how it could go wrong.
